Retail Furniture Location Expands Building with High-end Doors from IOS
La-Z-Boy Midwest Furniture factory began its massive expansion in July of 2021, adding approximately 500,000 square feet to its facility. This expansion required the latest in access control technology and some creative solutions to assist with the flow of foot traffic.
The furniture retailer called on IOS to design, deliver, and install their openings for the new space. Teams from IOS Springfield and IOS Kansas City combined their efforts and capabilities to source and install high-end turnstile doors, aluminum doors, door frames, and hardware.
Access control systems were installed, allowing La-Z-Boy to offer ID badge access to their employees. A variety of automatic door solutions were also installed throughout the facility to provide easy access from room to room.
IOS partnered with contractors Crossland Construction and architects Buxton Kubic Dodd to specify openings for the project. Completion of the La-Z-Boy expansion is expected by early 2023.
