UCM Gains Greater Access Control and Convenience
The University of Central Missouri is a public institution that serves a student body of over 11,000 individuals in Warrensburg, Missouri. As a part of the Federal Government’s emergency pandemic response, funds were allocated to universities through Higher Education Emergency Relief Funding (HEERF). In an effort to modernize their entrances, provide greater accessibility, and enhance security, UCM designated a portion of these funds to a campus-wide access control and security project.
IOS Kansas City provided and installed touchless openings to 45 buildings on campus, with over 600 doors upgraded in total. 181 were exterior doors, 311 were new interior doors, and an additional 109 offline access locks will be made electronically accessible.
This project will provide a new degree of visibility and control for campus security officers while making accessible touchless entry available to students, faculty, staff, and guests.
