A beloved, world-class zoo counts on IOS for special projects and more
The IOS St. Louis team worked with the Saint Louis Zoo to design openings solutions for its boiler room where Hellbender Lizards are housed. The high temperatures of this facility demanded FRP (fiberglass reinforced) doors. FRP doors do not suffer water damage or warping resulting from temperature fluctuations.
More damage-resistant than any other door, FRP is invulnerable to insects, rusting, corrosion, or harsh temperatures. Saint Louis Zoo works with IOS for all of their needs related to openings, and this project was no different.
Integrated Openings Solutions began planning for this project in April 2021, and are on track to complete the project by August 2021. For unique conditions and project demands related to openings, IOS St. Louis is Saint Louis Zoo’s favored partner, with more projects expected in the future.
The end result will be attractive, durable openings for this remarkable facility.
